New Sampha single: (No One Knows Me) Like The Piano

Ahead of the release of his widely anticipated debut album, Process, on February 3rd, Sampha has released his third single, entitled (No One Knows Me) Like The Piano.

At once both emotionally raw and achingly beautiful, the track is a tribute to the piano that sat in Sampha’s south London family home from the age of three – a piano on which he wrote much of his highly anticipated forthcoming debut album Process.

Produced by Sampha and Rodaidh McDonald, Process (released 3rd February on Young Turks) is set to be Sampha’s defining artist statement. As one of the UK’s most enigmatic young artists, Sampha previously lent his vocal, production and songwriting talents to a whole range of standout releases, from homegrown UK contemporaries such as SBTRKT, FKA twigs, Lil Silva and Jessie Ware to world-renowned superstars like Drake, Beyonce, Kanye West, Frank Ocean and most recently on Solange’s A Seat At The Table album. Now, on Process – which also features previous singles ‘Timmy’s Prayer’ and ‘Blood On Me’ – it’s time for Sampha to tell his own story.

“His maturity, both artistically and emotionally, came from finding his true self at the piano bench. But even when Sampha offers up a sentimental pop ballad, he hasn’t lost hints of his edge.” – PITCHFORK BEST NEW MUSIC
