OKZharp

OKZharp is the moniker of Cape Town born, London based musician and producer Gervase Gordon.

Working with Hyperdub since his time as part of production trio LV, as OKZharp Gordon puts his own spin on the vibrant dance music scene of his home country.

Along with frequent collaborator and fellow South African artist Manthe Ribane, he put out two acclaimed EPs followed by the celebrated 2018 record Closer Apart – the title referencing their long-distance musical relationship, with Ribane living in South Africa and Gordon based in London. Their collaboration combined sounds from their native country with the grimy aesthetic of their Hyperdub label mates

Gordon has also collaborated with gqom artist DJ Lag on the Steam Rooms EP, and Samrai on the Gated EP.
