bar italia are Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton.
Founded in lockdown, the group is an amalgamation of two cult projects; Double Virgo (Fehmi and Fenton’s project, released on Vegyn’s Plz Make It Ruins label) and NINA (Cristante’s solo project, signed to Dean Blunt’s World Music label)
Over the last couple of years, the London based trio have released two albums and an EP on World Music, as well as several singles.
In March 2023 Matador announced they had signed bar italia with the release of their single ‘Nurse!’. Their LP Tracey Denim quickly followed in May, to much critical acclaim.
